Home Straight (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides independent education and decision support for Australians making major decisions about their home. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using our website or giving us your details, you agree to this policy.

What we collect
We only collect what we need:
- Contact details you give us — your name and email address when you download a free guide, join our email list, fill in a form on Facebook or Instagram, or contact us.
- Purchase information — if you buy a product, your order details and payment are handled by our checkout provider (SamCart). We do not see or store your full card details.
- Usage and device information — when you visit our website or interact with our ads, we and our providers may collect information such as your IP address, browser, pages viewed, and how you arrived, using cookies and similar technologies (including the Meta Pixel and website analytics).
We do not deliberately collect sensitive information (such as health or financial details), and we ask that you don’t send it to us.
How we use it
- To send you the free guide or resource you requested.
- To send you emails with related education and, from time to time, information about our products. Every email has an unsubscribe link — one click and you’re off the list.
- To deliver and support any product you buy.
- To run and measure our advertising, and to show relevant ads to people like you.
- To improve our website and content.
The tools we use (and where your data goes)
We use trusted third-party providers to run Home Straight. Some are based overseas, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia (for example, in the United States):
- Kit (kit.com) — our email platform. Stores your name and email and sends our emails.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — for advertising and, if you submit a form on their platforms, to pass your details to us. Governed by Meta’s own data policy.
- Google (Workspace, and any website analytics) — email and website measurement.
- SamCart — checkout and payment processing for purchases.
We only share your information with these providers so they can perform their service for us. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and tracking
Our website and ads use cookies and pixels (including the Meta Pixel) to understand traffic and measure advertising. You can control or block cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Your rights
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time via the link in any email.
- Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to any records we’re required to keep.
